About CW719R Naval Brass

Naval Brass is a 60:40 copper zinc alloy to which about 1% of tin has been added to improve the corrosion resistance, particularly to dezincification. The alloy is a two-phase alpha-beta brass, hence has reasonably high strength with lower ductility than the single phase 70:30 or alpha brass. It is used for structural applications and for forgings, especially where contact with sea water is likely to induce corrosion. The mechanical properties are almost indistinguishable from those of 60:40 brass C28000, although the tin addition tends to give slightly higher strength. CW619N can be readily hot worked, and can also be cold worked, but not as easily as the single-phase alpha brasses.

Engineered for Marine Excellence

CW719R Naval Brass is expertly processed using extrusion and drawing techniques, resulting in a sturdy yet malleable product. Its dimensional flexibility, ranging from 1.5mm to 125mm, caters to multiple configuration requirements. This grade is particularly valued in marine and industrial sectors due to its superior resistance to saltwater corrosion and mechanical wear, making it ideal for applications such as fasteners and marine components.

Quality and Precision in Every Bar

Every round bar of CW719R Naval Brass is crafted to ASTM Inch standards and supplied with a brilliant, bright finish. Available in 16-foot lengths and manufactured by reputable Indian suppliers, this alloy ensures precision with tolerances up to 125mm. The 1/2 hard temper delivers optimal balance between strength and formability, supporting demanding industrial operations with reliable, consistent performance.

FAQ's of CW719R Naval Brass:
